Your health answers, naturally

Clinical naturopath and nutritionist, Anita Scherrer, uses non-invasive computerised technology, Cyberscan to help establish what is really going on with your body. This approach measures the balances and imbalances of energy within the body, including food intolerances. Contact Anita to find out more.

Not in Canberra? Or is travel a problem? Just post a small hair sample. Test results from the sample can give vital information about your health. Combined with a consultation by phone or Skype, an accurate assessment can be made. Contact Anita for more information.

Other testing methods conducted at the clinic – including urine and taste tests – give valuable information on what your body is deficient in.

“From these test results, we will know what is going on with your body and be able to form a solid diagnosis. From a solid diagnosis we can then plan the best way to bring your body back to its naturally healthy self.”

Zinc tally

This simple taste test can be done during the consultation. Results can be immediate.

Zinc deficiency is pretty common these days – and its effect can cause all kinds of problems. Why? Because zinc produces the hydrochloric acid needed to break down our food and feed its nutrients into our body. Pretty important.

Some problems that a lack of zinc can cause:

  • diabetes
  • eating disorders
  • food sensitivities & allergies
  • recurrent infections
  • arthritis
  • hair loss
  • skin disorders (e.g. eczema)
  • infertility
  • depression  and insomnia
  • learning and behavioural disorders.

pH (acidic/alkaline) test

This simple urinary test can be done during the consultation. Results can be immediate.

You usually think of pH tests for swimming pools. But as the human body is 70% water, the right acidic/alkaline balance is vital for a healthy body. That’s what this test is about.

An unbalanced pH level can mean an increase in infections – and taking longer to recover from them.

Common reasons to have a pH test:

  • infections (often yeast and urinary)
  • skin issues (often acne or psoriasis)
  • bladder and kidney conditions
  • low energy and chronic fatigue
  • slow digestion/elimination

Other reasons include:

  • heart issues
  • weight gain
  • diabetes
  • immune deficiency
  • hormone concerns
  • osteoporosis
  • joint pain, aching muscles and lactic acid buildup.

Some simple changes to your diet may be all it takes to get your pH balance right again.

Whatever the problem is, contact Anita to talk it through.

Anita’s input was extremely useful. Her state-of the-art machine detected some intolerance to certain food groups from a mere hair sample. Anita’s findings quickly resolved my on-an-off bloating sensation and lethargic state. Not bad for a Canberra-based Swissie.  — Cécile in Sydney
Great to catch up again yesterday, E. and I are really enjoying our new "Wellness Journey" together, so thank you so much for all of your help and guidance so far. Pleased to say Coffee has not passed my lips since our first meeting, and also my weight has reduced considerably, which is all good news. — I.K. from Canberra
I would just like to share my experiences with Missing Link. I found the service impeccable. Not only was Anita warm and friendly but her professional knowledge is amazing. Through a few relevant questions and the biofeedback machine, useful details about my health were discovered that otherwise may have gone untreated or unnoticed for years and years. Anita is thorough and the results were fast, accurate and explained in a way that was meaningful and personal. - Michael
"I was getting bad headaches about every month for decades The headaches were severe enough to require a lot of Panadol, which I didn’t like taking. After Anita carried out a thorough assessment of my health, she advised a simple change in eating patterns and a herbal supplement. I have not had a headache for five months now and my overall health and energy levels have never been better." — John
I loved your approach: warm and professional, friendly and calm. I came away with lots of hope and feel better just for that. I really liked the simplicity of your approach and appreciated that you didn't overload me with supplements or things to do. Seemed a lovely balance of dealing with the most important in a simple, practical way. And I liked that you were very attuned to what would actually work for me. — Chantal
